About

Hi!! I’m Madison Steskal, a second-year student studying Communication and Graphic Design at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. My hometown is in Hoffman Estates, IL, where I live with my mom, dad, and brother. My whole life I’ve loved creating, whether it was drawing with chalk on the driveway, constructing Duck Tape bags and wallets, going all out on my school posters , or painting with friends. I love any creative outlet that helps me express myself. I should mention I was a competitive gymnast for all of my years growing up, so as you could imagine, I’m a bit of a perfectionist. This quality gives me a hard time every now and then, but for the most part it drives me to keep learning and growing as a person and artist. Being a gymnast, one of the most valuable things I learned was how to take critique positively. This has helped me immensely throughout all aspects of life.

My creative spark has stuck with me since I first laid my pudgy toddler hands on crafting supplies, and I love looking for different venues to creatively express myself. On my website, you’ll see that I’ve dabbled in graphic design, painting, photography, drawing, and sculpture. With my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and my Minor in Graphic Design, I plan to find positions where I can use my communication skills and knowledge in design to help organizations grow and enhance their positive impact on society.

Thanks for taking the time to learn about me, I’m glad you landed on my page! 🙂
